Claremore, OK – Rogers State baseball player dies in crash

CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) A 20-year-old baseball player for Rogers State University in Claremore has died in a traffic accident.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Tyler Brown died early Saturday after a crash in Rogers County. The car struck a guardrail on Oklahoma Highway 20, rolled and caught fire.

Rogers State baseball coach Ron Bradley says Brown was a hard worker and a good teammate and that he'll be missed.

Brown was a pitcher for the Hillcats, playing in 14 games last season and posting a 6-0 record.
