Tulsa, OK – Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett presented budget cutting proposals to all three city unions and then met with the rank-and-file employees to explain the plan. Among the concessions are pay cuts for all city workers, including the Mayor and his staff.

The reductions are:
7.5 % for Tulsa Police
8.6 % for Tulsa Fire Department
5.2 % for all other City employees

These cuts are in addition to the eight furlough days ordered under the Kathy Taylor administration.

If the police and fire unions fail to agree to the concessions, Tulsa Police would lose 135 positions, while the fire department would lose 130.
Other city employees do not have an option, their salaries will be cut.
