Bartlesville, OK – Trial set for Okla. man charged in child's death
BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (AP) A Feb. 21 trial date has been set for a former Washington County jailer who's charged with first-degree murder in the death of his girlfriend's 4-year-old son.
KRIG reports that 23-year-old Joshua Benton appeared in Washington County District Court Wednesday.
Benton is charged in the December 2010 death of Christian Norris. An autopsy found the child had numerous broken bones and internal injuries.
Benton has pleaded not guilty.
He's being held without bond at an undisclosed location.
