Bartlesville, OK – Blaze destroys historic Bartlesville building
BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (AP) Firefighters in Bartlesville are still mopping up hot spots after an early morning blaze that destroyed a nearly 100-year-old downtown building.
Fire officials say the fire was first reported about 3 a.m. Monday, and it took more than three hours to extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported.
Located across from the ConocoPhillips office complex, the historic building housed eight tenants, including a restaurant.
Because of fear the building may collapse, fire officials say the don't plan to begin their investigation into the fire's source until Tuesday.
