Bad Bridge Plan to help Tulsa County

By KWGS

Tulsa, OK –
Tulsa County has its' share of bad bridges. It's hoped the governor's plan to eliminate most structurally deficient bridges statewide will have an impact here.

Under the current system, Tulsa County is only able to replace maybe a couple of bad bridges a year. Chief Engineer Tom Rains says the need is great and resources few.

The Governor's plan calls for a bridge beam recycling program and increases in state funding to counties to concentrate on repairing or replacing the worst bridges.
