Tulsa, OK – Tulsa man arrested in shooting death of father

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Tulsa police have arrested a 21-year-old man in the shooting death of his father and wounding of his mother.

Police say they were called to a home in north Tulsa about 10:15 p.m. Thursday and found Charlotte Thomas with several gunshot wounds and Richard Thomas shot to death.

Thomas also known as Charlotte Simmons said her son Rico Thomas had shot both of them after the three had argued earlier. The nature of the argument was not released.

Detectives found and arrested Rico Thomas in east Tulsa about 3:30 a.m. Friday on complaints of first-degree murder and shooting with intent to kill.

He has not yet been charged and it wasn't known if he had yet hired an attorney. He's being held in the Tulsa County Jail without bond.
