By Associated Press

Tulsa, OK – TULSA, Okla. (AP) Damaris Johnson amassed 322 yards and scored three times as Tulsa smashed Rice 64-27 on Saturday.

Johnson had eight catches for 163 yards, two touchdowns and returned a kickoff 94 yards for another score. He also moved into first place in the Conference USA record books for career kickoff return yards.

Quarterback G.J. Kinne threw for 371 yards and four touchdowns and added 46 yards rushing as the Golden Hurricane (6-3, 3-2 Conference USA) rode the momentum of last week's victory over Notre Dame.

Johnson had all of his receiving yards in the first half, including a 41-yard halfback pass for a touchdown from Genesis Cole. He wrapped up his day after the kickoff return early in the third quarter.

The Owls (2-7, 1-4) scored first on a 50-yard strike from Nick Fanuzzi to Patrick Randolph, then were outscored 41-0 the remainder of the first half.
