Another Spike in Flu Deaths

File photo

Flu deaths in Oklahoma jump yet again. 11 more people died from the flu last week in Oklahoma. That is according to stats released this morning by the State Health Department. Two of the latest deaths were in Tulsa County.

While the deaths are up, the number of people hospitalized with the flu seems to be declining.  In Tulsa County only 15 people were hospitalized in the last week. That is a decline from previous weeks. Statewide, however, just over 100 people were sent to the hospital with the flu.

Health officials stress if you are ill to please stay home from work or school.
