Another Oklahoma Quake

Midwest City, OK – Earthquake near Midwest City

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. (AP) The U.S. Geological Survey has confirmed an earthquake in Oklahoma County.

According to the USGS Web site, the quake occurred at 3:08 p.m. Friday about two miles west of Midwest City and seven miles east of Oklahoma City. It had a magnitude of 2.3 on the Richter Scale.

There have been no reports of injury or damage.

The survey records about 50 earthquakes a year in Oklahoma, though few are reported as being felt by residents
