Tulsa, OK – It will take a lot of money to rebuild the screen at the Admiral Twin Drive-in. Owner Blake Smith tells KWGS News he wants to rebuild the screen similar to the one that burned, only made out of steel rather than plywood.
Concert promoter Jon Terry says a lot of money has been donated to the cause. To date, the figure is just over $24,000. It will take nearly $250,000 to rebuild.
A large outdoor concert is planned at the drive-in site on October 16th. The drive ins double screen burned to the ground at the beginning of the Labor Day weekend.
