Oklahoma City, OK – Amid furloughs, senators rip House carryover funds
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Members of the Oklahoma Senate, where employees are being furloughed and offered voluntary buyouts, are complaining that similar cuts aren't being shared by their colleagues in the House.
The House has about $4 million in carryover funds.
House Speaker Chris Benge said Thursday he and his employees shouldn't be punished for being good managers.
Tulsa, OK – Accused Tulsa police officer placed on leave
TULSA, Okla. (AP) An undercover Tulsa police officer is on administrative leave after being accused of fabricating a drug buy that sent to people to prison.
Police say officer Jeff Henderson was placed on leave with pay Wednesday.
Federal prosecutors say in a document unsealed Tuesday that Henderson and Brandon McFadden coached a drug informant and fabricated a 2007 drug buy that led to the convictions of a man and his daughter.

Oklahoma City, OK – OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The bodies found near Lake Thunderbird Monday have been confirmed as those of missing 7-year-old Aja Johnson and Lester Hobbs. The cause of their deaths are still under investigation.
The two had been missing since late January when authorities say Hobbs killed his estranged wife, kidnapped the girl and disappeared.
Washington, D.C. – Oklahoma U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe, Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, today commented on President Obama's announcement on offshore drilling and energy policy.
"I appreciate the President's apparent willingness to consider offshore drilling as part of the Administration's energy policy," Inhofe said. "Time will tell as to whether Obama is really ready to embrace offshore drilling or simply wanting to look like he is.
