Oklahoma City, OK – OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) State lawmakers are confirming the Democratic governor and GOP leaders of the House and Senate have reached a deal on a state budget for the fiscal year that begins July 1.

Senate Democratic leader Charles Laster said Thursday the agreement between Gov. Brad Henry, House Speaker Chris Benge and Senate President Pro Tem was reached late Wednesday night.

Laster says he's hasn't seen the proposal, but was offered a few of the details, which he declined to disclose.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Gov. Brad Henry has granted clemency to a death row inmate and commuted his sentence to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Henry took the action Wednesday in the case of Richard Tandy Smith.

Oklahoma City, OK – Denate Dems delay $23M tax credit suspension

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Senate Democrats have delayed the suspension of two tax credit programs that would have saved the state about $23 million.

In a straight party-line vote, minority Democrats in the Senate on Wednesday opposed the suspension of two tax credit programs. Although the bill passed 26-22, the emergency clause on the measure did not get the two-thirds vote needed for passage, delaying the effective date of the bill for three months.

Storms Hit Oklahoma Again

Oklahoma City, OK – Several tornadoes touch down across Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Authorities say two mobiles homes were destroyed and several homes and businesses were damaged but there were few injuries during a rash of tornadoes in Oklahoma.

In Kingfisher County, Emergency Management Director Steve Loftis says a semi-truck driver wasn't seriously hurt when his vehicle overturned about five miles north of Kingfisher on Wednesday afternoon. At least two tornadoes were reported in the county.

Tulsa, OK – A federal judge signs off on a settlement to Tulsa's Black Officers Lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed 16-years ago. Mayor-Pro-Tem Terry Simonson signed the agreement for Mayor Bartlett who is in Washington D-C. The settlement agreement is sealed.
