Owasso, OK – The Public Service Company of Oklahoma and the City of Owasso announce a joint project. It will upgrade the PSO electric distribution system to all 13-thousand PSO customers in Owasso with a new state of the art technology.
PSO held an afternoon news conference at the Owasso City Hall to make the announcement.
Broken Arrow, OK – Broken Arrow Police discover a mobile meth-lab inside a child's "Dora The Explorer" back pack. The parents are in custody. The children have been turned over to D-H-S.
Police made the discovery after a traffic stop in Broken Arrow last night. 34-year-olds, Cecil and Melissa Martin were arrested at the scene. The children ages one-and-two were in the car with their parents when the traffic stop was made on BA's east side.
Oklahoma City, OK – State Chamber opposes new insurance claims fee
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The State Chamber of Oklahoma wants to side with Insurance Commissioner Kim Holland in her challenge of a new state law designed to raise up to $240 million for the state's Medicaid program.
The State Chamber on Tuesday asked the Oklahoma Supreme Court to allow it to file a friend of the court brief in the case.
Oklahoma City, OK – Okla. revenue collections continue positive trend
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) State officials say the new fiscal year got off to a good start with revenue collections for July exceeding both last year's collections and the official estimate.
State Treasurer Scott Meacham released the preliminary July figures on Tuesday. They show that collections for the month totaled $370 million. That's about 10 percent above collections in July 2009 and nearly 12 percent above the official estimate.
