Lincoln County Quake

Chandler, OK – 3.6 magnitude quake hits north-central Oklahoma

KENDRICK, Okla. (AP) A 3.6 magnitude earthquake in Lincoln County apparently has not caused any damage or injuries.

The Oklahoman reports that the U.S. Geological Survey says the quake occurred about 11:05 p.m. Saturday.

The earthquake was centered about four miles northwest of Kendrick and about five miles southeast of Agra.

Another $10 Million

Tulsa, OK – TULSA, Okla. (AP) The family of Oklahoma City businessman Mart Green is donating another $10 million to Oral Roberts University for campus renovations and maintenance in 2011. Green is chairman of the ORU board and the family owns Hobby Lobby and Mardel stores.

Oklahoma City, OK – New Okla. Senate leader announces pension panel

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The incoming Republican leader of the Oklahoma Senate says he'll create a special committee to examine the state's unfunded pension liabilities.

President Pro Tem-designate Brian Bingman said Friday that ten senators will serve on the Select Committee on Pensions. Republican Sen. Mike Mazzei of Bixby will serve as chairman.

Oklahoma City, oK – Okla. unemployment rate holds steady in November

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The unemployment rate in Oklahoma held steady in November at 6.9 percent and remains below the national rate of 9.8 percent.

Figures released by the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission show the percent of jobless in Oklahoma is unchanged since September.

DHS Being Sued

Tulsa. OK – Group suing OK agency wants documents turned over

TULSA, Okla. (AP) A child advocacy group suing the Oklahoma Department of Human Services for allegedly mistreating children in its custody will ask a federal judge to order the department to hand over documents sent and received by top agency officials.

The hearing is Friday in U.S. District Court in Tulsa.

Fire Takes Life

Sperry, OK – Flames destroyed a Sperry home Friday afternoon, and with it took the life of a 94-year-old woman. The woman, identified as Dorothy Evans, was found in the charred remains of her home near 86th Street and North Delaware.

Sperry, Turley and Owasso fire departments put out the blaze.

Pastor Found

Cleveland, OK – Missing Sand Springs pastor found safe

SAND SPRINGS, Okla. (AP) Sand Springs police say a missing pastor has been found safe in Cleveland, Okla.

Assistant Police Chief Mike Carter said in a news release Friday that Cleveland police found 58-year-old David Emigh found in his truck outside a Wal-Mart about 11:30 a.m. Friday.

Emigh disappeared about 11 a.m. Wednesday after leaving Word of Life Fellowship Church in Sand Springs.

Tulsa, OK – Tulsa woman found dead, police seek her vehicle

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Tulsa police say a woman has been found dead in her west Tulsa home and her vehicle is missing.

Police said Friday that 65-year-old Paula Bogle was found shortly before 1 a.m. Friday by the owner of the home who was renting it to Bogle. Police say Bogle's body has trauma to the neck that may be from stab wounds.

Detectives are now searching for Bogle's dark blue Chevrolet HHR that is missing from the residence.
