Tulsa, OK – Tulsa County deputies catch a copper thief and are on the lookout for more suspects. Sheriff Stanley Glanz says the man arrested is apparently part of a gang responsible for most of the thefts of copper from school and county-owned air-conditioning units
By stealing the copper, vandalized large air-conditioners must be replaced at a cost of several thousand dollars each.
Oklahoma City – OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Three Oklahoma universities are atop a list that measures the number of bachelor's degrees awarded to students of American Indian descent.
The report by Diverse Issues in Higher Education, a national publication, has Northeastern State University in Tahlequah and Oklahoma State University in Stillwater as co-leaders on the list, followed by the University of Oklahoma in Norman.
Oklahoma City – OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A memorial service has been scheduled for a medical helicopter pilot and a nurse killed when the helicopter crashed near Kingfisher.
Pilot Al Harrison and nurse Ryan Duke died Thursday night when the EagleMed helicopter crashed into a field near Kingfisher. Nurse and paramedic Michael Eccard was critically injured and remained hospitalized Sunday in Oklahoma City.
