Some Fair Goers Find Pot of Gold

Tulsa, OK – OKLAHOMA CITY Cash and stock worth more than $175,000 was found for 310 people attending the 2009 Tulsa State Fair, State Treasurer Scott Meacham announced today. The money was found for fair patrons who visited the treasurer's "Pot of Gold" booth in the Quik Trip Center.

As administrator of Oklahoma's unclaimed property program, Meacham has more than $300 million for more than 500,000 people.

Oklahoma City, OK – Suspicious devices found along RR tracks in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Oklahoma City police have made an arrest in connection with the discovery of three suspicious devices along railroad tracks in southeastern Oklahoma City.

Police say 33-year-old Chadwick Everett Baker was found near the scene Sunday night after the devices were found Sunday afternoon. He was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on three complaints of manufacturing a hoax homemade bomb.

Officer Travis Ludwig in Court

Officer Travis Ludwig is booked into the Tulsa County Jail.

Tulsa, OK – A preliminary hearing has been set for Tulsa Police Officer Travis Ludwig. In a court appearance at nine this morning, a not guilty plea to drug related changes was entered on his behalf.

He was arrested on September 22nd as part of an internal investigation after drugs were found in his squad car. The hearing for the 37-year-old Ludwig will be on November 20th.

Ludwig remains on suspension from the Tulsa Police Department.

Peoria Closed at I-44

South Peoria Avenue is closed at 51st Street and I-44.

Tulsa, OK – Peoria is closed at I-44 for the next three months. The flood prevention project, coupled with the I-44 widening is taking a toll on business. Bob McKenzie owns CiCi's Pizza at 49th and Peoria.

He says the impact has already been felt when the on-and-off ramps were closed. Now, with Peoria closed, he says the impact could be huge.

McKenzie has tried to be pro-active by mailing his data base and sending out fliers to regular customers advising of the construction work

Rare Car for Sale

The asking price is $1.25 million.

The Bugatti is one of only 200 of these cars ever made and one of only about 15 in the United States.

Quadruple Fatal Crash Northwest of Tulsa

Barnsdall, OK – 4 killed in head-on crash in Osage County

BARNSDALL, Okla. (AP) Three Ohio women and one from Michigan have been killed in a head-on collision on State Highway 11 in northern Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identifies the dead as 69-year-old Christine Fulghum, 85-year-old Martha Jacobs and Lavonne Gantt all of Toledo, Ohio, and 84-year-old Norma Otterstetter of Southgate, Mich.
