Hulbert, OK – HULBERT, Okla. (AP) The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is working to solve the death of a Hulbert man whose body was discovered yesterday morning in his backyard. Officials say 49-year-old Claude Wells suffered trauma. His body was found by a family member.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The unemployment rate in Oklahoma was down slightly in December and the rates in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metro areas also fell slightly while the number in the Lawton metro held steady.
The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission reports the statewide jobless rate fell from 6.9 percent in November to 6.8 percent in December.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The Oklahoma State Department of Health says another person Child has died from complications of influenza in Oklahoma.
State health officials say a Cleveland County child under the age of 5 is the fifth death associated with the flu since Sept. 1. Officials say a rapid test performed on the child came up positive for Type B influenza.
Officials say the child had an underlying medical condition.
Miami, OK – Miami, OK(AP) Ottawa County officials says three people have died in the a river crash. Oklahoma authorities say a pickup truck carrying as many as eight people has driven off of a snow-covered highway and into a river.
State Highway Patrol Lt. George Brown says witnesses reported there being at least eight passengers in the vehicle but that he is trying to confirm the exact amount. The witnesses were taken to hospitals for treatment.
Washington, D.C. – Obama grants Oklahoma request for emergency aid
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) President Obama has granted an emergency disaster declaration request for Oklahoma and ordered that federal disaster aid be given to the state after a blizzard dumped 20 inches of snow on some areas.
According to a statement late Wednesday, Obama's action authorizes the Federal Emergency Management Agency to coordinate all disaster relief efforts and provide equipment and resources necessary to alleviate the impacts of the emergency in all 77 counties.
