Tuesday was the second highest peak demand for power ever at PSO. Mary Fallin says the state has reached an agreement with Public Service Company of Oklahoma and the Environmental Protection Agency on federal air quality rules for PSO&#39;s two coal-fired power plants in Oologah.</span></p><p><span id="_oneup" style="font-size: 14px;">The Attorney General&#39;s Office sued the EPA in May to allow more time for the state to craft a solution. This after straight line winds toppled and snapped&nbsp; power poles along 129<sup>th</sup> East Avenue between 41 and 51<sup>st</sup> Streets.</p><p>The outage impacted about 700 Public Service Company customers. At one point, several thousand PSO customers lost power. There were reports of lines down in the area of 36th &amp; Hudson, causing nearly a thousand people to lose electricity. A feeder line knocked out power to another thousand homes and businesses in Northwest Tulsa.&nbsp; In all, more than four thousand homes and businesses, including St. John Hospital briefly, lost power.
